Facilitator
Phil is a highly qualified and experienced facilitator who helps you get the best results from a wide array of sessions and events, from team building through to event hosting, panel moderation, offsite / strategy days, project trouble-shooting and stakeholder engagement.
From hosting TEDx VIP lunches to boardroom strategy sessions and complex project facilitation – he’s pretty much done it all.
Here are quick links to his team building, offsite day hosting and general facilitator outlines (pdf), as well as client list, testimonials and extra info for event organisers.
Team building
The pace of change is causing high levels of burn out and stress in workers – and a facilitated team session can be a welcome ‘time out’ that is fun and an enjoyable experience together in a low pressure and friendly environment.
The benefit lies in your people forming deeper and genuine connections, and unearthing perspectives on what is working well and where they can improve.
If you value your people and their work, then a team building session is a real win-win because participants love the experience!
Major events
Phil’s facilitated sessions at major events such as the VIP Lunch at TEDXSydney for JLL through to the online Collective Impact Summit for the government-industry packaging peak body, APCO.
It’s where professional speaking and expert facilitation skills come together to produce a high quality event experience. Meticulous planning and attention to run sheets, scripts and building strong relationships with clients, panellists and speakers improves outcomes.
In-house and conference sessions
These include formal and informal boardroom sessions through to online and hybrid conference workshops, problem solving tasks, team building, strategy offsite explorations, crisis scenario simulations and planning days.
Having worked across all sectors, Phil relates to diverse audiences and situations. He knows when to go deeper and when to pull back, how to minimise the impact of rogue participants, rein in tangential conversations and keep agendas to time.
Collaborations & projects
He has extensive experience facilitating complex multi-stakeholder projects for organisations and government agencies. For example, helping the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet with components of the Just Reinvest project in Bourke, successfully engaging and aligning stakeholder groups including grass roots community members, local NGOs, businesses, schools and government agencies.
Engaging, listening, empathising, understanding, storytelling and many more skills underpin the success of these assignments.
