Phil is the founder of WhyThisNow, helping executives, leaders and teams think beyond conventional boundaries to respond to the powerful trends driving change across their organisation and industry.
After 19-years in corporate team leadership roles, he went out on his own to help his clients elevate their performance and impact, and has since worked with blue chip organisations across most industries and sectors.

Phil is the founder of WhyThisNow, helping executives, leaders and teams think beyond conventional boundaries to respond to the powerful trends driving change across their organisation and industry.
After 19-years in corporate roles and leading high-performance global analyst teams, he went out on his own to work on challenges at the intersection of people, business and society.
He was invited by Harvard Business School’s Professor Michael Porter and Mark Kramer to Boston to advance the business purpose field. Phil subsequently gained prominence authoring case studies and Connecting Profit With Purpose, and was recently quoted in an AFR report on purpose in business
Phil’s assisted companies such as BlueScope, CommBank, Challenger, IAG, JLL, NRMA, QBE and Westpac along with numerous not-for-profits, associations, peak bodies and government agencies.
He’s also an associate director of Janellis, a firm specialising in critical thinking techniques to improve decision-making quality and organisational resilience.

Phil is the founder of WhyThisNow, helping executives, leaders and teams think beyond conventional boundaries to respond to the powerful trends driving change across their organisation and industry.
After 19-years in corporate roles and leading high-performance global analyst teams, he had his own ‘WhyThisNow’ moment, and sought to elevate his influence and impact by working at the intersection of people, business and society.
He was invited by Harvard Business School’s Professor Michael Porter and Mark Kramer to Boston to help form a global network of experts in the business purpose field. Phil gained prominence by authoring several case studies and the book, Connecting Profit With Purpose, and has recently been quoted in the special AFR report on purpose in business.
He’s assisted companies such as BlueScope, CommBank, Challenger, IAG, JLL, NRMA, QBE and Westpac along with numerous not-for-profits, associations, peak bodies and government agencies.
Phil’s helped design and deliver stakeholder engagement components of multi-sector projects, such as the Just Reinvest (Bourke) regional employment initiative and packaging industry transformation for APCO.
