Projects
Projects involving many different stakeholder groups often suffer from misalignments of interest that prevent them from reaching their potential. This occurs within organisations and across broader collaborations and multi-sector projects.
Over the years, Phil’s helped many sponsors overcome critical project hurdles, including components of Just Reinvest (Bourke), where NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet needed someone from out-of-area to align diverse stakeholders around the project aims.
He’s also worked closely with NSW Department of Family & Community Services (now Communities & Justice) in areas such as Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith to help design and deliver collective impact oriented projects to reduce employment barriers and help industry improve entry level attraction and retention rates.
In a corporate context, another example is helping a major company bring seven key stakeholder groups together to minimise what was a potential multi-billion dollar exposure risk.
Another project involved running sessions for an ARC funded project, supporting Australian Catholic University and University of Sydney in employer engagement sessions to identify best practice in achieving hidden talent outcomes; and for several years he facilitated APCO’s Collective Action Group meetings – essentially the stakeholder engagement mechanism in Australia’s packaging industry transformation.
